These are terrific pants -- they are soft with a good feel to your hands and very comfortable. They also look great and the pockets are just where you need them, very convenient for carrying anything you need with you. I don't know if brown is really the new black, but these are a great color -- they are not your grandfather's brown! I also own the khaki and will probably order the black or olive from Captain Dave next.

I have worn these pants in Baghdad exclusivly for almost 3 months. Very light fabric makes them perfect for the hellacious summer heat. Ankle pockets are perfect for wearing equipment on the legs that cover leg cargo pockets. Easy to maintain and inexpensive. Fit more comfortablly than the tighter fitting Royal Robbin/5.11's. Very cheap zipper however, but custumer service was amazing, sent new pants with in a week for free. Recommend to my team and others in my line of work who do not like the alternatives.

I got these pants in chocolate brown and green. I love them. They are very comfortable, and everything I have been looking for in cargo/camo pants for years. The material is good quality, thick and strong, but not too thick, and they are soft. I wear them all the time when not at work.

I love these. I just got two pair and they were great, so I just bought three more today(May 29, 2007). These are very easy to fit into and come in all sizes. I am a 2XL but I enjoy the extra bagginess I get from even bigger pants so I got all of mine in 3XL. The pull-straps on the side adjust well to my waist and stay fitted all day.
These pants are tough enough for all my needs. Extra reinforcement in the butt, knees, and crotch allow me to really rough them up and stay comfortable about not tearing them. And the ties on the bottom allow me to keep them up so I don't tear the legs off like on other baggy pants.
I like to find pants that are comfortable, fit me well, and are tough enough for my abuse. These pants fit that to a tee and come back fighting for more.
I will definitely buy my next pair of pants from Captain Dave's at Amazon.com!

I bought a pair of these pants two to three years ago, and have no complaints. They have faded a bit, but that is only to be expected of a pair of black pants. The pants get a lot of wear, fit great, and show no signs of wear outside of the fading. I have no complaints and will be buying new pairs to replace the faded ones.
